This project was originally planned in collaboration with Biluo Art Gallery as an artist-in-residence program. I had agreed to it with Micky, but this time, I ended up being the only participant. However, on the first day when I arrived in Tamsui, Micky invited many painters to join us for sketching and artistic exchange, which truly moved me.

That first evening, after dinner, the discussions about art became quite intense, but I believe they were all valuable and meaningful. Everyone shared different perspectives and insights on art, and of course, some drinks helped liven up the atmosphere. Eventually, we engaged in a collective creation that brought the energy to its peak.

The next morning, I had to adapt to a different setting and figure out how to manage breakfast on my own. Walking alone through unfamiliar streets, surrounded by strangers and unknown scenery, I felt a mix of emotions and hoped this experience would spark new inspiration for my work.

Although I had planned to create that afternoon, I instead spent time discussing artistic ideas and questions with Taddy and Professor Tsai Jung-tang. While I did not produce much actual work, these discussions greatly enriched my understanding of art.

This was my first artist-in-residence experience, and I hope it will inspire more ideas and possibilities in my creative journey.
