On Sunday, I was invited to an exhibition in Taichung. Though I had planned to stay home and paint, I decided to go, hoping a change of scene might help me break through my recent creative block.

The works were astonishing in scale and presence, and the distinguished guests reminded me how vast the art world truly is. One artist’s words struck me deeply: “If you never step outside, you will never realize how many true masters there are.”

This experience broadened my horizons. It reminded me that art must always return to its original intention, beyond competitions or recognition. Each day I remind myself to stay humble—the world is wide, and there are countless masters out there.
